Transport to and from Airport:
Currently Snow King Resort does not offer transportation to and from the Jackson Hole Airport,. There are rental cars available at the airport, or guests can take advantage of the Uber, Lyft, and other local taxi services
Parking:
The Snow King Resort offers free overnight parking for its guests. Guests not staying at the resort may park there for free during daylight hours. Jackson also has a variety of street parking near the resort.
ABOUT JACKSON HOLE
General Information:
The town of Jackson is home to around 10,000 people, sitting near the southern edge of Jackson Hole. Although Jackson itself is a relatively small town, it is a bucket list location for millions! Jackson offers a variety of food and shopping choices, with an adorable town square hosting local vendors. Jackson is a walkable town, with several restaurants within walking distance of The Snow King Resort. Tourism also does subside quite a bit by late September.
Climate/Health Considerations:
The average daily high and low temperature in Jackson in October are 53° and 27°, respectively. While uncommon, it is not impossible to see snow in town during your stay. Regarding fall foliage, October is the peak season in Jackson!
Jackson sits at around 6,200 feet above sea level, which can be a drastic elevation change for some. To avoid the effects of high mountain elevation follow these tips:
- Stay hydrated! Drinking plenty of water is important in high elevation
- Wear sunscreen! Due to increased elevation individuals are more likely to get sunburned if spending time outdoors.
- Rest up! Getting plenty of rest is a sure way to allow your body time to adjust to the altitude.
FUN ACTIVIITIES & EXCURSIIONS
Grand Teton National Park:
Just 4 miles away, the Grand Teton National Park offers incredible views and hiking trails! Entry is 35$ per vehicle, which includes seven days of access. Carrying bear spray is strongly recommended when hiking.

Snow King Mountain Sports:
The Snow King Resort provides an on-site shop for ski, snowboard, and mountain bike rentals. Resort guests can also enjoy activities offered on Snow King Mountain throughout the year, including their Cowboy Coaster, Alpine slide, tree top adventure, maze, putt putt golf, and North America’s steepest zip line.

Located 15 minutes west of Jackson, the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a premier ski destination! They offer scenic gondola rides, hiking and mountain biking trails, a Via Ferrata, ropes course and more.

National Elk Refuge:
Sitting on 24,700 acres, the National Elk Refuge is located just north of Jackson, providing critical habitat for a number of wildlife species, including elk, bison, pronghorns, swans, eagles, and trout. Feel free to stop by the Jackson Hole and Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center at 532 North Cache Street to learn more.

National Museum of Wildlife Art:
Holding more than 5,000 artworks representing animals from around the world, the National Museum of Wildlife Art contains award winning architecture known for its synergy with the local landscape. Inspired by the ruins of Slain Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, this beautiful museum overlooks the National Elk Refuge and is located only 2.5 miles north of Jackson.
