Getting Around Boulder
- If you’re not familiar with the Boulder area, most people here navigate by where the mountains are. If the mountains are on your left, you’re facing North, if they’re on your right you’re facing South and if they’re behind you you’re facing East.
- There are numerous walking, biking and hiking trails close by. Check out this site for a list of some of the best trails in Boulder. A couple of trails are close to the NCAR Mesa Lab building where you’ll be Monday evening. There are also three trails close to the
Residence Inn. - Boulder also has the B-Cycle program if anyone wants to take a bike ride around the city.
- The RTD (Regional Transportation District) route 208 supports local public transit around Boulder. The RTD bus #208 runs from 34th & Valmont Road to Boulder Downtown Bus Station (14th & Walnut) and vice versa. The nearest bus stop to the Residence Inn is about a 5-minute walk west of the hotel. From the bus station you can walk north along 14th Street to the Pearl Street pedestrian mall and other downtown areas for shopping, dining or entertainment
