Briefly (<400 words) describe the problem that you are seeking to address. 1) Include the specific question or questions that you hope to answer. 2) Be clear about how your proposed project relates to the Summer School 2026 application areas and themes. 3) Outline how a small group of experts from different backgrounds will work together to help address this problem.
Briefly (<100 words) describe what data is required and desired for your project. Include sources for data sets.
List what software, platforms, tools, or methods you expect or recommend participants use for your project.
List what computer languages you expect or recommend participants use for your project.
Provide an estimated amount of HPC/GPU resources that you might need for completing the proposed project.
Provide a brief description of any specialized backgrounds that you would prefer your team members to have. We cannot guarantee team members will have these skills and experiences, but it helps us understand any methodological or disciplinary backgrounds that would benefit your project.
In-person participation to guide and direct your team is mandatory. Team leaders must be present at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and actively engaged with their students during the week.
