I-GUIDE VCO: Communicating Science: Identifying What You Want and How to Get It

Communicating Science: Identifying What You Want and How to Get It

October 12, 2022 2:00 pm (Central Time)

Recorded VCO

Abstract

Communicating your science is like shopping in a supermarket. The choices are endless – writing, tweeting, blogging, posting pictures, videos, doing a jig on TikTok. Some items are beneficial. Some can be tasty and rewarding, other efforts can be a waste of time and calories. This webinar will be a forum on guidelines to figure out what you want from your communications and how to craft a communication style aligns with your tastes and creates a recipe to achieve those goals. This session is dynamic – less lecture, more Q&A – so come ready to interact.

She was a newspaper journalist for 15 years before entering the rapidly changing field of science communications. She is a member of the NSF-supported I-GUIDE Engagement & Partnerships Team.
